EXO - Mama

Omg. I love EXO so much right now!
(prepare for a looong post!)

Where do I even start? Mama is a great song, I love it so much. It reminds me of DBSKs old songs like O, Triangle and Rising Sun, and of course of Super Juniors Don't Don. It's a song-style that I've kind of missed from SM Entertainment and I'm really glad they brought it back for EXO. I also lovelovelove the album as a whole! Every song is so unique and my only complaint is that it's only a mini-album and not a full-length one. My favoritesongs are definitely Two Moons and Angel/Into your world for different  but obvious reasons. And about choosing just one group; I find it impossible. There are some songs I prefer in a specific language, but as albums, there really isn't one I prefer over the other.

About Exo-m:
I am quite honestly slightly disappointed in the lack of live-performances from Exo-m. I want to see them perform live, because although I'm convinced they're good live-performers (I trust that SM didn't debut a band that wasn't) I bet a lot of people are still doubting them just because they haven't really had the chance to prove themselves yet.
And ok, about the interviews... Oh god how do I say this? They are adorable. And awkward as hell. I have never seen such awkward interviews in my life! And I'm so surprised because this is a SM-band we're talking about. SM-bands are like the most professional groups ever, with the exception of Exo-m apparently. If you have no idea what I'm talking about I'll just link some of their interviews:
Tudou Interview
Youku Celebrity Interview
Sina Live Chat
Don't get me wrong, I love their interviews, and I think they're incredibly cute when they're so nervous, but I just expected them to be so much more prepared for this. Kris does an amazing job though, I get why they chose him as the leader. Lay is adorable but he looks like he's either concentrating really hard or just constantly spacing out, I can't decide which one. Luhan is a cutie but he seems so nervous, Xiumin obviously doesn't understand whats going on but at least he's always smiling and looks really friendly. Tao changes between being the cutest human being on earth and being the scariest, most fierce badass ever. And then there's Chen who honestly just looks like he wants to sink through the floor (although I think he got better. He looks a bit more comfortable for every interview.)
I think they're really cute when they're nervous, and I've had a few laughs when it's gotten really awkward, but I hope they get better so we can all look back at this and say "look how awkward they were when they debuted." They need to get better, both for our sake and for themselves. They need to get more comfortable.

About Exo-k:
Let's admit it, we all had sky-high expectations on Exo-k:s first live-performance. It was playback. I'm not blaming anyone but I just think it's kind of lame to debut by lip-syncing. But they sang live both on Music Bank and Music Core, and I want you all to remember that I am a fan, and I love them, but I'm going to say what I honestly feel now.
The performance on Music Bank wasn't good. Especially History, that whole song was just a huge mess. Mama went a little bit better but I think we all knew that this just wasn't good enough. Music Core went better, it was good. Not perfect, but a good enough performance to make me say "I knew they could do it!" It could have been better, but I'm not worried because I'm sure it will be. When they get rid of the nervousness, when they're free of injuries and when they get used to the stage I'm sure their performances will get better.
Their performance on Music Core:

I think we sometimes forget that Exo is still a rookie-group. SM hyped them sooo much that we all expected them to be better that all other rookies, but the truth is they're not. They're not bad, but they're still on the "rookie-level." D.O was obviously nervous as hell on Music Bank, but think about it. Would SM ever give him so many lines if they didn't think he could do it live? He was given all his lines because he can do it, and we need to give him time to show us that. Give them a few years and I'm sure they will be a hundred times better than they are today.
I'd like to highlight a few good things too though. The dance is one of the most complicated dances I've ever seen, and they're managing it amazing in every performance. Also, they're harmonizing. Live. You don't see that very often, especially not in uptempo-songs by rookie-groups, and that made me really impressed. Also, Kai obviously deserved all the attention he got in the teasers. He's so talented and professional!

To summarize: I love all of Exo, and I believe they will be really good eventually. I can't choose a bias because they're all so loveable. They're album is the best debut-album I've ever heard.

(Also, I hate when people compare B.A.P and Exo, but I think these two groups will be the ones competing for all the rookie-awards at the end of the year.)

Sherlock - Shinee

I still didn't write about Shinee's comeback! I'll make this pretty short cause I don't have time for this at all, but anyway...

I loved this comeback!

The song is exactly my style. Catchy and fun, and not too simple in it's structure. It might not be my favourite-song of the year, but still very very good. I also kind of like this idea about a hybrid-remix, just because it's different, and I love when SM tries new things and sets new trends.

They styling of the members is just... Shinee. Shinee's thing is to be a little bit adventurous with their styling, right? And I like that they go full out on that concept. Some people think Taemins hair is too long, but I just keep thinking that it needs to be a little bit too long for it to be Shinee. If it had just been regularly long, it would have been like any other group, and that's not Shinee. Shinee always go just a little bit too far, they always push the limits.

The choreography is one of the best choreographies I've seen in kpop, and Shinee does it so well. And in all honesty, I think Shinee is one of the most talented kpop-groups out there today. If you don't believe me I suggest you go watch this live-performance of Sherlock. If you still don't think Shinee is one of the best live-groups, I honestly think you're stupid. You don't have to like them, but you can't deny their huge talent! They're able to do one of the most physically demanding choreographies, while delivering close to perfect vocals, and that is pretty damn hard to do.

The video is good. I mean the story is a little bit boring, but at the same time the song is really playful, so having a super-serious storyline just wouldn't go well with the song. I think this is good, it's a simple and kind of fun storyline, and it's a nice change from the usual only-dance-videos we often get from SM Entertainment.

I should probably write about something I disliked about the video, just so I wouldn't seem as obviously biased, but the truth is I am biased, and I didn't really dislike anything about Sherlock. Onew is back, they all look amazing, and this album is playing on repeat on my ipod.

I love Shinee!

EXO

I obviously suck at blogging regularly. It's not that I don't have things to blog about though, rather the opposite. I have so much I want to blog about, but I have no idea to start. But even though I am obsessing over Shinees new album at the moment (It's sooo good!!!), I will talk about Exo today.

Ever since the first teaser I've been pretty speechless. I've never been tired of the teasers. I've never thought Kai was over-exposed. I'm still just exited. Some of the songs revealed in the teasers sound amazing (how can you not love "Into your world?") and I liked both What is Love and History. I didn't love them, but they were definitely good, and I still have skyhigh expectations on their debut-song.

I'm completely obsessing over them, and they haven't even debuted yet. It feels so weird and honestly quite surreal. They seem so talented, and I'm sorry if people are tired of hearing about Kai, but to me he seems like one of the most talented idols SM has ever debuted.

About History:
I'm slightly more biased towards Exo-M at the moment, and the reason is simple: Luhan. Luhan takes my breath away. Literally. Every. Fucking. Time. I don't think I've ever been so captivated by someones face before. It makes me nervous though. What if I dislike him in interviews? What will I do then? He's the most beautiful person I've ever seen, if he doesn't have a nice personality I seriously won't know what to do. He seemed nice in those W-live clips though, even if he didn't say a lot. And eh Kris. That boy is sex.

On a more serious note though, I like the flow of the chinese version a bit more than I like the korean. Idk, the line "I need you and you want me" (the best fucking line ever!) just goes a little bit better with the chinese in my opinion. I have a feeling I will like a different group more with every song though, since I liked the korean version of What is Love more than the chinese.

History mv - Exo-M.
Luhans face in the beginning is honestly so breathtaking.

I liked Exo-Ks dance version more. I don't know why, but they seem like better dancers. More synchronized. Also, they're all the same height (as opposed to Exo-M where Luhan is really short and Kris is taller than everyone else) and it just looks so good. And Kai has really fierce dance-moves. Like seriously. Uh yeah Kai is my Exo-K bias at the moment.

History dance practice - Exo- K

Idk though, I'll probably end up liking both groups equally, I mean let's face it, they will release the exact same songs. They'll practically be one big group.

B.A.P - Warrior

This is my first post in a long time, and it will be about what was, according to me, the best debut in a long time: B.A.P.

I didn't expect to be blown away by B.A.P. I liked both of Bang Yong Guk's songs, and I liked Never give up with Zelo, but I didn't love them. In all honesty, I'm not sure if I exactly love Warrior either, it's actually more just B.A.P I love.

First of all: What kind of dance is this!? It's seriously one of the most physically demanding choreographies I'v ever seen from a kpop-group, and they're just rookies!? That's absolutely amazing, I'm really impressed!

Second: They're all blonde!? Do you know how much I love it when they're blonde? This concept is made for me, it's so perfect! I will admit though, some of them looks better in blonde than others. I basicaly think it works for Himchan, Yongguk, Zelo and Jongup, the other two looks a bit awkward, but it's an interesting concept and they won't be blonde forever.

I don't know what more to say... I'm just really impressed. B.A.P will soon be a big deal in the kpop-world!

I think I'm back

Sometimes you loose interest in things, you forget about them and leave them on hold until another time. I kind of lost interest in this blog. I don't really know why actually. I got a tumblr I guess, I am on tumblr every day so I just didn't make time to write anything here. I didn't miss it to be honest. Not until I looked at it. There's just something about this blog that I don't have on tumblr.

I am anonymous here, noone knows how old I am or what my name is (I mean I don't think I'v ever mentioned it?). I'm not anonymous on tumblr, not at all. And on this blog I write long texts with my opinions on things, rather than just reblogging pictures of bands and tagging them with grammatically incorrect spazzing. Don't get me wrong, I love tumblr, but when I got back to this blog it just hit me how different it was.

So yeah, I think I'm gonna start blogging again. Just for myself, because I actually like it. I'm gonna start right now.
