L.Joe - Orange hair

I have a fetish for orange hair. Not that I disliked L.Joes pink hair, just... orange hair is kind of awesome.

Favorite songs this month

Well... I don't post too often on this blog apparently. Let me just quickly go through all the music videos I've wanted to mention since last time. And yes, I know I'm super-late with most of them. (basically this will just be a post consisting of music videos and one sentence-comments.)

A-cha - Super Junior

I like the song, I really do, but the video just seems... I don't know, a bit boring? I'm a huge fan of SuJu and usually I love their "dance-only"-videos, but this one just seemed a bit pale compared to Mr. Simple and Bonamana. Like nobody really put in a lot of thought when they made it. I like Suju, but this video just didn't do it for me.

Get Out - JYJ

I love the song. I love the dance. I like the styling. However, I do not like the fancy car, and the close-up shots in the first verse. Am I over-doing it? Well I love JYJ so I think I'm completely allowed to complain about the little things. This is a great single, I love it. (If anyone wonders why I'm not mentioning In Heaven in this post, it's just because I'm not really into ballads. I like it, but I'm only gonna include my favorites right now.)

Beautiful Target - B1A4

Oh god this is just so silly. And weird. And absolutely adorable. I've been obsessed with song for the past few weeks, despite how incredibly silly it is. I like cute things, and this is just about how cute it gets!

The Boys - Girl's Generation

I thought long about making a separate post about this video, but I have a tendency to not write about things when i say I'll do it later. So here I go. First: I LOVE SNSD <3 With this new album it really feels like they've grown up, showing another side of themselves. i love the concept, the clothes, the coreography. The song is not my favorite though, but it does get better after listening to it a couple of times though. But I really like the direction SNSD is going. They're evolving, growing, showing their talents, and working really hard. I'm really happy with this comeback!

Love is Move - Secret

It's easy to forget about Secret as they are promoting in the shadow of Girl's Generation, which is why it's so important to bring them up! I love Secret, and I love this song. I really think it's their best song so far. It's a lot of fun, with a slightly more mature concept, but still playful and fun! Don't forget about Secret!

Cheerz - Simon D

I've been listening to this song constantly since it was released. it's just brilliant! It's not really my usual taste in music but it's just so good! Everyone listen to it!

Music videos!

Haven't we just been spoiled with music-videos lately?
In this post I will put some, but there are some I want to make separate posts for, so I'll save those for later with the hopes of having time to post more this week.

First we have Paradise - Infinite. What an amazing song! And such a beautiful video. I'm not going to lie though, one thing disappointed me about the video: the lack of dancing. I mean come on! Here you've got some of the best dancers in kpop, and you give them a video without dancing? The video is good even without the dancing, it just felt a bit like a waste. But I assume we'll get to see what kind of choreography they have in the live-performances. I'm really looking forward to that! Infinite just keeps growing to me, they have so much talent and potential. Hopefully they'll win something with this song as well!

Sixth Sense - Brown Eyed Girls. I love Brown Eyed Girls! And although I wasn't too exited after the first time I heard this song, it really grew on me quickly. Now I just love it, those high tones are just...wow! The Inkigayo and Music Core performances this week were quite amazing as well. I like that about B.E.G. They both sound and look great live, and I also like that they have a slightly more mature appeal than other groups (probably because they are older...).

Last but not least: Neverland - U-kiss. This song has already been out a few weeks but whatever. I really like it, it's kind of like what U-kiss has always been about, except the song is (honestly) better than before, and you know... two of the members are different (I still haven't quite gotten over that. Don't get me wrong though, I like both AJ and Hoon, but that doesn't mean I don't miss Alexander and Kibum!). It really makes me sad that they haven't won anything yet, because frankly I don't think they have a chance at winning now that both Super Junior and Brown Eyed Girls are back. And although I'm happy for Kara winning, it would have been nice to see U-kiss win as well!

Kara - Step

I have never been a huge fan of Kara. They're very talented of course, but their songs have just never been my style. Until this one!

I love Step! It's catchy and makes me superhappy. The outfits are cute and funny, and the choreography is good. It's my favourite Kara song since their debut! I really hope they will continue with this style of music.

What is a "good" fan?

What is a good fan? I don't think there is any correct answer to this. Who decides what a "good" fan is? All I know is what kind of fan I want to be.

1. I want to support my favouritebands without bashing others.
Just be supportive. You don't have to tell the world that you dislike someone, just be quiet if you have nothing nice to say. You do not feel better after upsetting other fandoms and starting fanwars. It's just ridiculous, and I always feel ashamed when I see fans of the same bands as me bashing others for no reason.

2. I don't want to judge my idols.
They should always feel encouraged by their fans, not suffocated or limited. They should be able to be themselves, as far as they want to be. When my idols are happy, I feel happy.

This is a very common scenario that happens every time a kpop-video makes it to the front-page of Youtube:
Hater: These guys are gay just like all other asians!
Fan: NOOOO!!! MY IDOLS ARE NOT GAY!!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GAY! AMERICANS ARE STUPID!

In this case, both the fan and the hater makes me ashamed to be human. Let's face it, both these comments are both racist and homophobic, and both comments are more hurting than encouraging. Super Junior are all in all 15 guys, and there's a huge possibility that one (or more) of them are gay. SNSD are 9 girls, why shouldn't one of them be a lesbian? Everyone isn't straight, and I wish all homophobic fans would just understand that!

Now this is what I mean by supporting and encouraging! Cassiopeia is beautiful!

3. I don't want to be a stalker. Idols should have the right to a private life. I see it like this: Yes, they indeed chose a life in the spotlight. They chose that as their job. But they are not always working, are they? When they are at public events, fans can take pictures and ask for autographs and scream and jump and be exited, and be everything that fans are. But when our idols leave work, we should leave them alone. When they're done for the day, they should have the right to a private life just like all other people have.
Now I get it if you see you idol walking down the street in your hometown, and you stop and ask for an autograph. That's normal behaviour. But to follow your idol around, and wait outside their house, that's not normal. That's not something anyone should have to deal with. Let them have a private life. Let them date whoever they want to date. Stalker fans do not encourage, they suffocate.

The other day I saw a Youtube-comment on the video for Ugly - 2NE1, that went something like this:
"2NE1 are sooo pretty, they shouldn't sing this song! Lady Gaga should sing it since she's so ugly!"
Honestly, what gives you the right to say Lady Gaga is ugly? She's beautiful as she is, just like 2NE1 are. I like both Lady Gaga and 2NE1, and I felt so offended by that comment. Bashing is so unnecessary!

Fans of every band, group or solo-artist should be nice and respectful to all. Of course, just people in general should be nice and respectful I suppose. Just care for the people you like. (And honestly, it wouldn't hurt to care just a little bit for those you don't like as well.)

Day 10: Mirotic

30 days of kpop
Day 10: A k-pop dance you'd like to learn.

I would love to learn the dance to mirotic. Not that I ever think I could.
Ah I miss DBSK like this...

Bad Girl - SNSD

This is, according to me, the best song so far by So Nye Shi Dae. I really love it! The chorus is catchy and the high notes sung by Jessica and Taeyeon are great! The choreography looks great and I really like the concept. As for the clothes I feel similar as I did to Super Juniors Mr. Simple: I don't really like the gray/black outfits, but the colourful outfits looks really amazing! Especially Jessica and Hyoyeon (I have a thing for red jeans...). The low sound-quality makes me a bit confused, but doesn't really bother me. Honestly it gives the video some character, like they're taking the "bad girl"-feeling of the song as far as possible!

I haven't talked a lot about SNSD before. But I really like them and appreciate their huge talent. I used to be a bit different though. Consider this as my apology to all wonderful sones out there:
I admit, I judged SNSD too quick. I put my trust in what other people said without thinking on my own, and I judged based on appearance rather than talent. I didnt like SNSD in the beginning. I don't know exactly why. It just seemed like a lot of other people hated them so I though "Well, I guess they aren't very good then." I should have known that a lot of haters doesn't make a group worth the hate.
It sounds strange to say I judged on appearance, but let me explain. I know SNSD are super-pretty so if I only looked at them I should have loved them, and maybe I would have if I had seen each of them individually. But I only saw them as a group. I saw nine girls in identical pink clothes (oh!), showing their legs, wiggling their hips in time with the music. And even before I started viewing the video I had decided I was going to dislike it. I know better now, and trust me, I am so ashamed that I judged them so easily. I was never a hater, I have never written a hateful comment about SNSD anywhere, I have just disliked them without reason.

If I could, I would apologize to every single member of So Nye Shi Dae, and also to every single one of their fans. I'm really sorry.

As I said, I know better now. I don't know when I started to change. But at some point I decided to give them a chance, and I am so glad I did. I realized that these girls were just as hard-working and talented as any other SM artist. I realized that if you looked at the right places, you could see them do complicated dances and sing very hard songs. I think what really made me love SNSD was when I realized that they weren't at all identical, as I had thought in the beginning. Sure, they often wear identical clothes on stage, but their personalities are so varied. Here is a link to the interview that got me to really understand that (in case anyone doubts me when I say they're very unique girls.)

I like them all and I think they're all very talented, but my favorites for now are Sunny, Tiffany and Jessica. I really can't tell you why, I just really like them!
I don't know exatly what I wanted to say with this long post... Maybe I wanted to help someone else, to not make the same mistake I did. Maybe I just wanted to say sorry. SNSD are wonderful, and I wish I could have known that earlier. Maybe I just love them.

Mr. Simple - Super Junior

I know I'm I bit late, and frankly I feel like it's too late to start reviewing this video now, when it's already been out for so long. But I love it so much. A lot of people seem to dislike it, most of them saying that it's similar to Sorry Sorry and Bonamana. I don't mind though. This is what a Super Junior-single sound like, and if you listen to the album you'll realize that there are also a lot of other kinds of songs on there.

I love the dance, it's really cool. I like some outfits, I'm not a big fan of suits honestly, but I love the colourful outfits! Also, I love the lyrics of the song. It seems like SM has had quite a few good lyrics on their songs lately, which makes me happy!
My absolute favourite moment of the song is Ryeowooks "alright" at about 2.50. It's the most sexy word he's ever sung... Yeah. It's hot. (I must have mentioned Ryeowook is one of my favourites, right?)

The live-performances of Mr. Simple have all been amazing, Super Junior always blows me away! I also love the song Super Man! And I'm really happy that they're doing activities as a group again, interviews with Super Junior are always so happy and joyful!

This article made me smile like a fool. Gaah! I wonder who's dating, and who they're dating. But most of all, I'm happy they're dating. They deserve a happy life. Sure, I wish Ryeowook would be dating me instead of someone else, but honestly, what kind of fan would I be if I wasn't happy my idol had a boyfriend/girlfriend? I'm happy when my idol is happy, even if he is happy with someone else. Therefore, I hope Ryeowook is in a very happy relationship with a very nice girl or boy (I honestly don't care about his sexuality. Why would I?)

Some people may not know this, but Super Junior used to be my favourite band in kpop. But then I discovered DBSK and Super Junior was pushed down to second place. But I still love them and care for every member a lot. I always wish them all the success they can get, and all the luck in the world. I'm thankful for their existance and proud to be their fan. I know I haven't mentioned them a lot on this blog, but never underestimate my immence love for Super Junior. <3

About Heechul enlisting in the army... When I read the news, I cried for real. Heechul was the person who truly got me hooked on k-pop in the first place, and I look up to him so much. Two years without him seems like a long time... I might write another post dedicated to this issue, but I make no promises (considering that post about summer-songs never happened...).

Anyway: Mr. Simple=total win!

Twitter

“I don’t know if I should be saying this… I miss Yunho and Changmin… No matter what anyone says, they’re our members and I know them better than anyone else… People might say it’s pointless in saying this but… I want to see them again. It’s been a while.”

I have mentioned before how much I adore Kim Jaejoong right? I wish I could thank him for writing this, it warmed my heart.

Always keep the faith.

One More Chance - CSJH

Wow. I'm blown away!
So I had never listened to CSJH (the Grace) before this video appeared in my subscribition-box the other day. I had heard their name but I'd never taken myself time to listen to them. But I watched this video and I was immediately stuck! Suddenly, I think I have become a fan of CSJH. Or atleast this song, and I am of course going to look up their older songs aswell and see what I think :)
I also saw the live-performance they did on music bank this friday. Amazing. Great live-performers. As I said, I am now officially a fan of CSJH.

Day 8: No Other 6 Oh!

30 days of kpop
Day 8: A kpop-song you know all the words to.

I couldn't pick just one. But I have two that I'm pretty sure I'm saying the right words when I sing along! (I can never be a 100% sure though.)

No Other - Super Junior

Oh - SNSD/Girl's Generation

Day 7: Bolero - DBSK

30 days of kpop
Day 7: A kpop-song that makes you cry.

I know it's a japanese song. But it's a korean group so I'm going to consider this a kpop-song.
Bolero by Dong Bang Shin Ki (or maybe Tohoshinki since it's japanese I guess...). It makes my cry every single time. It's so bitterly beautiful, if that makes sence.

Always keep the faith.

I am the best - 2NE1

I. Love. 2NE1.
Seriously, this is their best song so far. According to me anyway.
I like 2NE1. I like their style and their attitude, but for some reason I've never quite gotten to the stage where I love them. I've liked their songs, but not loved. Until this one. Really, I am the best has quickly become one of my favourite kpop-song (although I have a lot of favouritesongs)!

This song and this video is a total win for 2NE1!

Day 6: Danger

I totally forgot about this challenge!
30 days of kpop

Day 6: Your favourite k-pop song from your favourite girl group
Wow. This is hard. My favourite girl group is f(x) and I love all their songs. I love their new songs, and in the end it was either Danger or Hot Summer, but I eventually decided to make a seperate post with my favourite kpop summer songs.
So here you have it; Danger (Pinocchio) by f(x)!

Other songs I love by f(x) are:
Hot summer
Gangsta Boy
Lollipop (feat. Shinee)
Nu ABO
Mr Boogie
La Cha Ta

Bubble Pop!

I keep saying I'm going to update soon, and then I don't. So this time I'm going to be realistic: I don't know when I'll update the next time, maybe tomorrow, maybe in a month. Time will tell!

Anyway, today I'm going to talk about Hyuna. She recently released this video:

The song is everything it needs to be, it's addictiong and fun and impossible to get out of your head. The video is also everything it needs to be, fun and sexy.

It pisses me off when girls are accused of being too sexy or slutty or whatever you wanna call it. Especially when you know that the people accusing the "slutty" girls are the same people who drools over boybands all day long, just hoping for them to take off their shirts. Sex sells, for both boys and girls. The celebrities making sexy videos are just doing what they have to do in order to make it in the music industry. Both boys and girls do it, but people complain way more when it's about the girls.

I don't like the fact that you have to take off your clothes to get recognition. Especially considering most kpop-idols are very talented, and should be able to make it just from showing off their huge talent. Take Hyuna for example, she's a very good live-performer, and a good dancer. But she still needs to be sexy to make anyone remember her. As I said, it's a shame that she has to take off her clothes, but can she really be accused for it? She's giving the people what they want, and still people are complaining.

I don't think being sexy is a crime. If you want to wear revealing clothes you should be able to do so, and noone should look down on you or take you less seriously for that. I don't think Hyuna is wearing to revealing clothes in this video, she can wear whatever she wants, she should still be recognized as a talented singer and dancer, not some kind of object.

I think this a big problem in todays society. Girls have a hard time being taken seriously, it seems like whatever a girl does, it's wrong. Don't be fat, but don't be too skinny either. Wear makeup, but not too much. Don't be ugly, but don't be too sexy either.

Boys make sexy videos all the time, but they are still recognized as musicians, not objects. Take Mirotic - DBSK for example. That is a very sexy video with a very sexy dance. DBSK made lots of performances of that song, showing a lot of skin and the fans loved it! But DBSK are still recognized as amazing singers and dancers. They are still being taken seriously, getting acting opportunities, musicals, and directing. Jaejoong as a director is serious. Imagine if Hyuna wanted to direct a concert, would people believe in her, or would they laugh at her? Is she less capable of directing because she's a sexy girl? (I know that Hyuna hasn't been in the industry nearly as long as DBSK, so comparing them is a bit odd, but it's a very good and obvious example for those who never has thought about this before.)

I love Hyuna. She's talented. This is a fun song. That's all.

B2ST - fiction

Wow... I really haven't updated for an entire month! But summer is coming up and with lazy mornings I should be able to update a little more!

My favorite song during this past month has definitely been this one:

I like Beast (or B2ST which is how I guess you're supposed to spell it). I don't love them, but I completely understand why some people do. I love a few of their songs, and I like a lot of them. I enjoy seeing them perform live, because they are really talented. So there you have it, I completely see the greatness of Beast, but they're still not really my thing. To all Beast-fans out there: Your group is amazing!

I'm trying to keep up with everything that's happening with TVXQ and JYJ, although I really don't have the time. I'm looking forward to Yoochuns new drama. I haven't really read much about it, but I trust Yoochun enough to believe he wouldn't star in a drama that wasn't good.
It seems to me, that maybe the situation is getting just a little bit brighter everyday. Just a little, so little that you almost don't notice it, but it's still getting better! I'm still hoping to see TVXQ as five again. Some day, even if it is years from now, I think it will happen!

Always keep the faith <3

Yunjae!

These days I really don't have time to blog because I have so much in school, but I'll be back soon (I think).
This made my day. He has to know what song that is. I can't stop smiling. Yunjae is alive!

Day 5: Purple Line

30 days of kpop
Day 5: Your favourite k-pop song from your favourite guy group

Now it's impossible to pick just one favourite song by TVXQ, because there are so many great ones. But this was the song that made me absolutely fall in love with TVXQ. Purple Line, the japanese version. I don't know why, but it was not until I'd heard this song that I started to completely fan-girl over TVXQ, which is why it will now pose as my favourite song by TVXQ.

Purple Line - Tohoshinki

Other songs I simply adore by DBSK are:
O. Jun. Ban. Hap.
Mirotic
Why did I fall in love with you
Rising Sun
Survivor
Bolero
Insa
Hi Ya Ya
And many, many more...

More of Jaejoong

A couple of days ago I wrote this entry, about an interview with Jaejoong. Well, now there is a second part to that interview, and here is the link to a translation of that: sharingyoochun.net

Once again, I am amazed by this person. He's so unpredictable!
“I’ve dated four times since 2004. All my dates were with celebrities.”
Wow. Well, I don't mind, he can date whoever he will and it's really none of my business. But it makes you wonder who it is! Oh, and I love the way he just says it, because celebrities really aren't supposed to say such things, but he just does it anyway.

-Have you had any plastic surgery done?
That’s a secret. All my fans know the truth behind that, but if you dont, let’s just skip the question.”
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! God he's adorable. Now I don't know how you can see if someone has had plastic surgery, but I really wouldn't be surprised if he had (and I'm saying that as a huge fan. I really don't mind if he had).

Isn't he strange? In his own charming way. He's just so unique!

f(x) - Pinocchio

They're back! Finally! With Pinocchio (Danger).

f(x) is, as I've mentioned before, my favourite girl group and I've really been anticipating their new album and musicvideo. And they certainly don't disappionted me! As for the album I have only listened through it one time, so I can't really give a lot of opinions to every song, but as a whole, I really like it. It's not perfect, but still really good!

And about the musicvideo... I'm gonna be completely honest; when I first saw it, I didn't really like it. I thought the song was a bit boring, and the video was too much, just all over the place. The song and the video didn't really go together very well. But then I looked at it again, and again, and again... And now, I've changed my mind! It's different, and that's what f(x) is all about, bringing us something new and fresh. The song takes a while to get into, but when you've heard it enough times, you can't get it out of your head! And the video is all over the place, with a lot of colours and patterns, and a lot of wardrobe-changes for the girls of the group. But it's just enough, if you know what I mean? It's almost too much, but they never quite cross the line, so all the colours and patterns just end up making me very happy.

But... SM Entertainment, what are you doing? Amber is barely even seen in the video. And although I like all members of f(x), I really wish Amber would get just a little more screentime. F(x) is very unique, with the way it mixes different styles and different personalities. Amber is a huge and important part of f(x), not to mention, very very special in the world of k-pop. She needs to be more recognized. Please, give Amber more screentime!

I love this whole comeback of my favourite girlgroup, and I can't wait for their comeback-stage!
You can't embed videos posted on SM Entertainments official youtube-channel (sment) so I'll just post a link for those who have yet to see it:

Hopeful!

So there's a new interview with Jaejoong. A really wonderful one! Here's a link to it. I can't even begin to tell you all the things I love about this interview, but I'll just introduce my favourite-quotes from it.

“Park Yoochun has the manliest image in JYJ so he wore blue, and I matched Kim Junsu with green because of his humorous image. I wanted to represent my slightly epicene image.”
How I love this. He just used the word epicene to describe himself. Isn't he just wonderful, that's a very unique thing for a man to do. Some men would probably take it as an insult if they were described as epicene, but Jaejoong just says it as it is!

“There are still a few rough patches to fix. But I can assure you that the problem wasn’t amongst the members. I believe there were lies and misunderstandings that surrounded us. Personally, I think that we could still straighten out all the misunderstandings.”
Well, who doesn't love this? There's so much hope in these sentences. Hope for TVXQ. Even if the group can't be reunited on stage in the near future, I just want to hear that they're friends. That would make me happier than almost anything.

“Most of them were my non-celebrity friends. A few celebrities who came were Hong Seok Chun and Narsha.”
Now this is more... Well, I get it if noone else thinks much of this quote, but it brought a smile to my face. I'll try to explain why. About Narsha, I love her. Her solo-album is the best solo-project in k-pop in my opinion (along with maybe Ga-in). So the fact that Jaejoong knows her makes me so exited, because I would obviously love to talk to her myself sometime.
And then there's Hong Seok Chun. Jaejoong just said himself that he is friends with Hong Seok Chun, who is openly gay. A celebrity could easily not reveal his friendship with anyone openly homosexual, just to protect his own image. But Jaejoong reveals it, and by doing so, he could affect tousands of fans, who might just think twice before judging someone by his or her sexuality the next time. Jaejoong has the opportunity to speak to a big crowd, and he really makes the best of it! He's openminded, and that is important.

Ah... I hope to see more inteviews like this in the future, with all members of TVXQ and JYJ. I do love them being silly in variety-shows, but I love it even more when they're serious, because everytime they are, they prove how smart and openminded they are.
Always keep they Faith! Today I feel more hopeful than I've done in a long time!

Day 3: Jaejoong

30 days of kpop:
Day 3: Your ultimate k-pop guy bias

Jaejoong is my ultimate bias, nothing more to say really. I've already explained what I like about Jaejoong in a previous post, so I'll just put the link to that here. It's just... one of those annoying cases when you keep thinking it's love, but then you realize you've never even met the guy, and it's probably just one of those celebrity-crushes...

Day 2: Your favourite k-pop girl group:I absolutely love f(x), and they're definitely my favourite girl-group. 30 days of kpop: Day 1

Today I found a list, and I thought I might aswell do it, since I really want to. I won't do it in 30 days straight, but just those days when I have nothing else to blog about. (I'll put the list at the end of this post.)
So I'll start now with day 1.
Day 1: Your favourite k-pop guy group. Noone should be surprised to see a picture of TVXQ.

30 days of kpop

Day 1: Your favourite k-pop guy group

Day 2: Your favourite k-pop girl group

Day 3: Your ultimate k-pop guy bias

Don't Don

Don't Don is truly one of my favourite-songs by Super Junior. It's different, but I like it. It might take a while to get into, but once you've heard it a couple of times, it really sticks with you. But there's a bittersweet vibe to it: it makes me miss Hangeng so much. I always felt like Don't Don was Hangengs song. He only sings one line it, but I still feel like he owns the whole song, and totally steals the spotlight from all other members.

Hangeng, I miss you in Super Junior, but I hope you're happier now.

This live-version of the song proves how amazing Super Junior are live, watch it:

Girlfriends and Boyfriends

I am a huge fan of TVXQ. I've dreamed about how it would be to date one of them many times, as so many other fans have. So when I hear about thing like these, I shold be upset, shouldn't I? But I surprise myself again and again, when I don't feel upset at all.

"In the interviews that he had with a few media sources, Kim Jaejoong brought out even private stories, such as “I’ve dated 4 women,” without concealing."

Reading this, I just can't help but smile. I can't explain why, but it just makes me so incredibly happy. Maybe it's because it's closer to the truth than the usual bullshit you hear from idols, you know, the "I've never kissed anyone"-talk. It's believeable for a while, but not forever. Idols will have partners, and I just hate the fact that they have to hide it from their fans. I always prefer the truth, no matter what it is. I thinks that's why it makes me happy, this is not a lie told to satisfy their fans; it's the truth. I want them to be happy, so I want them to be with someone who makes them happy, and although I wish that person could be me, I know it will never be.

I suppose that's why I like these pictures of Yoochun and Kahi as well. They look happy right? And I know this was a long time ago and they've probably broken up years ago, but at the time they obviously made eachother happy, and that is really all that counts. It doesn't make me hate Kahi, it makes me like her. She made Yoochun happy, that's amazing. And also, if Yoochun liked her, she must have been quite an awesome girl, right?

It's more complicated when it comes to Jaejoong though. I have the biggest celebrity-crush I've ever had on him, so yeah I want to be his girlfriend. At the same time, I want him to be with someone else, who makes him happy. And most of all I just wish he'd be with Yunho. I like Yunho and Jaejoong together. I'm not the biggest Yunjae-shipper in the world, but I like the idea, they complement eachother in a nice way. So yeah... with Jaejoong everything is always a bit complicated.

I guess I've ranted long enough about TVXQ and their potentional girlfriends and ex-girlfriends (and maybe boyfriends). There are other things about this inteview with Jaejoong I love aswell, such as the ending part:
“Where and how shall I meet with fans? Actually, the majority of recent worries is precisely that. I believe that everything will be okay. I plan to sing for all of my life, I can’t become worn out. Haha.”

Aww... Lovely Jaejoong, always keep the faith!

A boy

I've said it before, but you can never say it too many times. G-dragon is a genious. Someone to look up to, someone to take after, someone to admire. I love this song, truly written by a genious.

CNBLUE

I needed to hear it a couple of times before I really got into it, but I love this song. And I love how the video is a bit different. Although I'm a huge fan of dance-groups, it's kind of nice to see just a group with instruments for a change. This whole album is great, so if you haven't yet listened to it, you should do it now! I think I'm falling in love with CNBLUE.
C.N.Blue - Intuition:

United Asia Management

Now this scares me.

"The biggest entertainment companies in Korea have joined together to create one massive management agency known as United Asia Management."

I have a bad feeling about this. A really really bad one. I mean, this new management agency is going to be huge. As the original article said, it's going to completely crush performers from other agencies. What will happen now? What will happen with the bands from these agencies? There are differences between all agencies, and I have made clear before that there are some agencies I don't like.
I don't like SM Entertainment, or what I mean is; I love the talents managed by SM, but I don't like the way SM handles things. But I like YG, and I like how they seem to let their artists participate in the entire process of making an album. I don't want Big Bang for example to have anything to do with SM Entertainment.
And I don't want a monopoly in music. Music shouldn't be about money, and I really can't think of a reason to create United Asia Management other than money. Music is an art, not a business. This will crush some artists from smaller agencies. Artists that I happen to really like, simply because they're different, and not quite a part of the huge money-machine that is the korean music-industry.

But I hope I'm wrong. I hope noone will be crushed. I hope all artists will still be original. I hope everything will be fine.

Max Changmin

After giggling through a beautiful tribute-video to a certain evil maknae of TVXQ today, I realized something: I have never even once mentioned my love for Changmin in this blog! But I will now (and I will post the video mentioned above in the end of this post).

Max Changmin... Why do I like you so much? When I started listening to TVXQ, I first noticed Jaejoong (it's kind of inevitable when the first video you see is "Why did I fall in love with you". 'Cause you know, Jaejoongs face is the first one that shows up on the screen...). Anyway, after watching a few more videos, I realized that there was this really awesome guy doing these high-pitched powerful screams in several of the songs, and that is how I discovered Changmin.

Really, Changmin has a very unique voice. It's so strong and steady. Have you ever heard the scream in Rising Sun? That has got to be the coolest part of the whole song! His voice is one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard.

It's so hard to describe exactly what I like about Changmin. It's just the way he is. All quiet and in the background, until he suddenly has this brilliant insult/joke towards the other members. He's evil and smart, a dangerous but exiting combination. And he loves food. I love food as well. I love anyone who loves food.
And he's sexy. For real.

And he's openminded. I really think so. In an interview, he once claimed to like the movie Brokeback Mountain. You have no ideo how happy that statement made me. Changmin, openminded and wonderful!

I'll just leave it like that. No more rambling on how beautiful Changmin is. I love him, that's for sure, and I support him with my entire heart. Here's the tribute I mentioned, it's simply amazing.

Changmin, it feels like recently I haven't been able to see your wonderful smile enough, and you're getting skinnier every day that passes. Please eat more, stay healthy and be happy.

This song is addicting! And definitely one of my favourite kpop-songs. I have mentioned I like Secret before right? Here is Magic - Secret:

Super Junior

This article on allkpop just made me smile like a fool.

This part especially got to me:
"The four have been faring so well in the radio and broadcast arena that they’re even being called the next generation of popular MCs. They’re speculated to take over the roles of the current big names, which includes Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Gura, and Kang Ho Dong."
YES! I really do believe Leeteuk and Heechul will be a new generation of MC:s. They are brilliant at it!

Ah... Super Junior, they always make me smile (although I've had my moments of crying for them because of unfortunate happenings). They're so free and careless and true to themselves, but still always professional when they need to be.

JYJ from 東方神起

I wonder what he means with this. Is he missing the others? I suppose so. Does he wish they were five again? I suppose so. But can such a thing ever happen? Can DBSK ever be five again? And in that case, under what circumstances?
It's all just a mess right now, it's really bringing me down. And I keep thinking, if the pain in my heart is this big, their pain must really be unbearable. Stay strong; Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu, Changmin. Be happy and smile a lot.

Brand New U-kiss

So about the comeback of U-kiss...

I like the song, I really do. It's really good. And I like the musicvideo. And I like the new members, they seem alright. But still, I miss Alexander and Kibum.

Along with Kevin, Xander and Kibum were always my favourite members of U-kiss, and I still haven't quite accepted the fact that they're on longer official members of the group. As I watched the new video I kept thinking: "Was the member-change really necessary? Couldn't they have done it with the old members?" I can kind of understand why they needed Hoon, because he seems to be a good singer, but AJ? Is he just rapping? Honestly, U-kiss already have enough rappers; Eli, Dongho, and of course Alexander was a good rapper as well.
But I don't want to bash the new members though, because I'm sure they already have a hard time dealing with all the harsh comments they must be recieving. I do not hate them, and I'll do my best to learn to love them as members of U-kiss. But it might be a bit hard, considering whos' places they took. Not blaming this whole mess on any members though, NH Media made a huge mistake and I'm so irritated at them for being so unproffesional.

Moving on to the video: I love it! The song is just beautiful, so sweet and melodic. I love how U-kiss isn't obsessed with auto-tune anymore. The video is beautiful, and Dongho acting all sad makes me so heartbroken. And Kevin is just supercute as usual.
But there's one thing that bugs me so much: Hoon and AJ are given long parts to sing, while Kiseop hardly sings at all. Seriously? Kiseop has been a member of U-kiss for a long time now, and we all want to see him sing!

So yeah, in conclusion: Love the song, love the video, will try to like the new members, but I still miss Kibum and Xander like crazy...

4MINUTE

I have just one thing to say: I love this song!

Bolero

Today I saw this on SharingYoochun.net:
"Shim Changmin – It’s not easy for two (with U-Know Yunho) people to fill in the space of five people. I feel so much more responsibility now compared to when all I had to do was follow what my hyungs were doing. So I give my all for everything, dancing, singing and the visual aspect. There are times when I feel frustrated and disappointed. Sometimes, I ask myself, ‘After years of performing, I’m still the same, I’ve been doing fine without anything happening, but how did our team become this way?’ Idol singers who debut at a young age own many things people their age usually don’t own, and are faced with many temptations. I think people need to possess the power of discernment and good judgment."
Yes, it hurts to hear Changmin say things like this. That's really the only thing I can say. It hurts. As I've said before, I don't pick sides. I cannot pick a side when I love them all so much. So it hurts. It hurts that they have to talk about eachother in interviews, instead of doing the interviews together. It hurts that some things they say imply that they're not as close anymore. It hurts that they're not together. And most of all, it hurts that I don't know what's true and what isn't.

Yesterday night when I came home from a friend in the middle of the night, I went out in my garden and watched Cassiopeia, while crying and listening to this song:

How I miss them.

Paradise Ranch

Recently I finished the drama Paradise Ranch, with Changmin as one of the main characters. I might as well admit it, I watched it mainly because I love Changmin and wanted to see him act, I wasn't that exited about the actual drama. But now, after having seen it, I actually like it a lot.
It had some things I disliked, mainly just the short part where Changmin was way too possessive, telling her she couldn't meet the other guy etc. Possessiveness is a very unattractive quality in my opinion, and it almost hurt to see Changmin acting that way (I seriously had to remind myself that it was just a drama, and Changmin might be different in reality).
But mostly I liked this drama, since it never feels too unrealistic. I mean, it's never unnecessary dramatic, more like a very exaggerrated version of the reality. It's really sweet, especially since the story takes place on a ranch. It has kind of a friendly feeling. And I love that the ending wasn't cheesy and whimpy, as is the case with so many dramas (Really, I've been so dissapointed at some dramas just because of a whimpy ending.)
Changmin is good enough. He's not a great actor yet, but considering this is his first real try at acting, he does a good job. A lot of singers who try their hand at acting tend to act a bit exaggerrated at times, but Changmin doesn't, with maybe one or two exeptions. Changmin is good, and I would love to see him in more acting-projects.
I really recommend this drama, Paradise Ranch. It's not my favourite, but it's definitely one of the better ones!

Orange Hair

When I first saw this, I really couldn't help but think: "Orange hair? What the hell was he thinking...?" But honestly, after you get used to it, it's really cute, isn't it? It makes him look so young.
... I'm really too obsessed with this man...

Infinite

Recently I discovered Infinite (When I say recently I mean today. I'm not even kidding.)
Yes, I know they've been around for several months already, but I suppose I simply didn't notice them for some reason. They have some really great songs though, so anyone who hasn't heard of them should definitely check them out!
Of course, I've already found my favourite: SungJong, born 1993, extremely cute.

Ahh... It's always a good day when you discover a new group!

Teen Top

This video makes me totally love Teen Top. I bet they have a very bright future ahead of them, with all that talent. And Niel, could he possibly be the most talented guy to have debuted last year? He's amazing!
I have nothing more to say, just watch this video:

Kim Jaejoong

I just realized how I've never written a post dedicated to Jaejoong before, which surprised me, considering he is probably one of my favourite-people in the world. I know I'm not the only one who absolutely love him, and I continue to hope that he knows how many people there are out there who admire him deeply.
With Jaejoong, I feel like there just aren't enough words in the world to describe him. He's such a beautiful person, both on the inside and outside.

Here are a few reasons as to why I like him so much:
  • He's beautiful. I just love everything about his appearence. His face is perfect, and while some might say it's probably due to a bit of plastic surgery, I just couldn't care less. Weather it's natural or not, It's still more beautiful than any other face I've ever seen.

  • He seems very open-minded, and anyone who knows me would know that is a quality I value highly. He seems accepting and caring, and not afraid to be a little bit different.

  • He is feminine, and not at all afraid to be. He has to be aware of the fact that anti-fans will react badly to his feminine style (like the shirt on the picture above) but he still doesn't change. I admire him for that, as I think femininity should be more appreciated than it is today.

  • He is extremely talented. When I listened through JYJ:s korean mini-album, the song that really spoke to me immediately was Pierrot, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that song was written and composed by none other than Kim Jaejoong. Also, he is an amazing singer, and you can't really deny that.

  • He is so damn sexy.

  • He's somewhat of a rebel, in so many ways! His tattoos and piercings, the fact that he smokes, the way he talks... I love anyone who has the guts to get tattoos, who is secure enough to carve something in on their own body. I just happen to love every single one of Jae's tattoos, and the same goes for his piercings. And being a non-smoker, I probably SHOULD hate the fact that he smokes, but I really couldn't care less. I just love the fact that he isn't as pretentious as so many other famous people are nowadays.

  • And yes, I love the fact that he sued SM Entertainment along with Junsu and Yoochun. As much as I wish TVXQ was still five, I'm happy JYJ did what they did. Sometimes you have to do what's good for yourself, without having to think of what everyone else thinks. The members need to be happy, and appearently, JYJ couldn't be happy working with SM. So yes, I love him for it. I love that he did something for himself, and followed what he believed in. And sometimes, it's important to question things, which Jaejoong seems to have done.

Deferto Neminem.
Jaejoong has these words tattooed on his chest, and roughly, they mean Accuse no man. I think that's why I like him the most. Those words are so wise, and so beautiful. I thinks it's important to do just that; Never accuse anyone, if you don't know all circumstances, which you rarely do.

"Accuse no man, Always keep the faith."

Worrying

My mind has been in a state of chaos this weekend. But time doesn't stop, and life has to go on. No matter how insignificant it may seem, compared to eartquakes and tsunamis and nuclear emergencies.

Today has been a day of worries though. About Japan, of course, although I've been trying to put that out of my head, since my weekend basically was spent crying while reading news about the disaster.
Today was also the date for JYJ:s final hearing. I hardly know anything about it. But apparently the members of TVXQ has been receiving unfair treatment from SM Entertainment. Of course, we all knew that before, but it's always interesting to learn some details. And it seems as though there will be another hearing. This is all according to this post on The JYJ Files. I just wish JYJ will win this. They need to win this, it would change a lot of things.

And then one more thing, about TVXQ:s new song, Before You Go. Why did SM give Yunho and Changmin a ballad? Haven't they proved themself to be extremely talented performers of power-songs, like Keep Your Head Down and Maximum? Why give them a ballad? I feel like it's a bit of a waste, to not make the most of Yunhos dancing skills.
Although I have to say, I really like the song. And I absolutely love the video. I love the action-scenes. And I love how they put Ara in it, I've always liked her. The song is awesome like this, I'm just worried that the live-performances won't showcase the talents of the duo.

My heart is worried today, but let's just hope for better news in the near future, right?
Always keep the faith.

Japan

When things like this happens, I feel like everything stops. How can we just keep on living here, as if nothing happened, knowing that there are things beyond our imagination going on in Japan? How can we not be affected?

I hope as many people as possible will be safe in Japan, and all places affected by the tsunami.

G-Dragon and Big Bang

I think I'm starting to fall for this guy right here...

I've never disliked Big Bang. I've listened to a little bit of their music, and I've loved a few of their songs (Haru Haru and Lies mainly). But with this new mini-album they recently released, I've suddenly become aware of just how amazing these guys are!

And how amazing a certain G-Dragon is. Seriously, how did I miss this? How did I not notice how admirable he is? He's such a good musician, and I like how he seems so open-minded and innovative!

The thing is, I normally fall for the feminine boys, such as Jaejoong, Key, Kevin, Heechul, Ryeowook etc. And although I'm very aware of the fact that some people would call G-Dragon a little bit feminine, I've never seem him in that way. He's always been very manly to me if you know what I mean. So he's not the typical guy I'd like, in respect of his appearence. But after seeing a few interviews with him, I've realized I absolutely love his personality/image. He's very unique isn't he?

International Womens Day!

Today is the international womens day, so what would be more appropriate than dedicating this day to some of my favourite women in k-pop! I mostly write about guys on this blog, but that doesn't mean I don't like female groups and solo-artists. Here are some of my favourites:

Miss A were my favouritegroup to debut last year, with one of my favouritesongs. They quickly grew to become one of my favouritegroups over all, especially Jia with her pink hair! And after seeing Min on some varietyshows, I think she is one of the most awesome persons in the world.

In the beginning I didn't think much of Sistar, but as time went by they grew on me. They're really talented, which is why I'm including a live performance in this post, rather than a musicvideo. They are amazing live!

My favourite girlgroup is without a doubt f(x). I think they're very unique and I really like every single member (especially Amber, she's definitely unique!). I've heard they'll make a comeback some time during the first half of 2011, and I can't even tell you how exited I am!

My favorite girl in k-pop is BoA. Let's face it, BoA is the best. I really admire her for her huge amount of talent, and her hard work. She seem really nice and smart, and I think she definitely deserves to be where she is today!

If I were to put up a video from every female artist/group I liked, this post would go on forever, so I'll just end it here.
Happy international womens day!

Accusations

In a recent interview on Knee Drop Guru Yunho and Changmin spoke out about the conflict regarding JYJ-SM for the first time. Personally I thought they did a great job. I don't know how honest they were, but it felt real, and at some moments you could see obvious tears in their eyes, but they held the tears back and made it through the interview very professionally.
Some people will always blame Yunho and Changmin for what happened to TVXQ, I realize that from reading some reactions to this interview. It upsets me. Why blame anyone? How can you ever pick a side when you don't know all the facts about the situation? When it comes to TVXQ, I'm Jaejoong-biased, but that doesn't mean I automatically pick his side and abandon everyone else. I'm neutral, I'm support five people, not three or two. Five, always.

When Yunho said he didn't know about the lawsuit, this was how I interpreted it: He knew about the problems with the company, I bet the members had talked about it many times. I think they all saw the difficulties with SM, but for some reasons that we don't know anything about, Yunho and Changmin must have thought sueing the company was too much of a drastic thing to do. Something made them want to stay with SM. I don't know what that something was, but I trust these two persons enough to believe that they had a good reason to do what they did.
So Yunho knew JYJ wanted to sue SM, but he probably didn't know they would actually do it, not so soon anyway. Changmin and Yunho knew, they were just surprised when it actually happened. That's my interpretation.
People seem to want to believe either JYJ or HoMin are lying, but I don't. I want to believe they're both telling the truth. The reality is always seen different from different people, and HoMin might have interpreted the situation in a different way than JYJ. Does this make anyone a traitor? Why would any of the members want to break TVXQ up? It's so obvious that all five have suffered tremendously from everything going on. They all lost persons they love in this whole mess. I don't want to put the pressure of haters on them as well.

Jung Yunho, you are not a traitor.
You are the leader of TVXQ, the greatest leader there is.
You are hardworking and honest, and you are admired by so many people.

I will always support you, the one and only U-know Yunho.

H.O.T

So there we have it, H.O.T together again.

I feel a very special thing towards H.O.T. I was just a kid when they were at the top of their popularity, and I didn't even know South Korea had a music industry. Honestly, I doubt I even knew South Korea was a country back then. But even though H.O.T were before my time, they feel special to me. They give off a special vibe, that just speaks to me.
I mentioned H.O.T to my friend the other day, and I thought she'd be interested, since she's also into a lot of k-pop. But when I said there had been some talk about a reunion of H.O.T, she just answered: "What's H.O.T?"
So even though I realize that people my age usually don't really care about H.O.T, I still do. Seeing them together like this makes me happy, and it gives me hope, of maybe one day seeing DBSK and Super Junior together again. Nothing would make me happier.
When asked about an official reunion, this is what Tony An answered:
We can’t say anything regarding that for now, but this is the first time we are meeting in seven years. There hasn’t been any discussions made, but the members are all thinking positively about a possible reunification. We’re not sure what’s going to happen, but we are thinking about it, so please look forward to it.”
Yes, please! Reunite H.O.T, and give us hope!

Ryeowook+Mika=amazing!

I have always admired Mika. He's my favourite solo-artist in the world and I love him to death. So today I heard that Ryeowook actually performed a Mika-song at the K.R.Y-concerts in Seoul. How did I miss this?
Ryeowook performed well, of course. After all, he is one of the best singers in the k-pop industry so we really shouldn't expect anything less that a wonderful performance vocally. And he's nice to look at (I love how the fans scream when he starts dancing with one of the girls). I'm happy, he did well. And I think i just started loving both Ryeowook and Mika a little more, it's always so amazing when two completely different interests are combined!
Ah, Ryeowook... it's so nice to know that you have such an amazing taste in music!
Blame it on the Girls - Mika, here performed by beautiful and talented Kim Ryewook:

Song Jieun's amazing solo

So I've writen about Secret before right? Now this is the newly released solo-debut by one of the Secret-members, Song Jieun. I am officially in love with this song. It's really amazing, and different. The whole video is just so messed up, but maybe that is what's making it so astonishing! Make sure to watch it with english subs (click the cc-button if you can't see any)

When it hurts

It hurts so much sometimes. To see them hold back their tears on a tv-show, to know that the last two years surely has been the worst ones in their lives, to know that they probably wish things were different. It hurts.
Now the members have told us two different stories, but I think you can interpret what they said in many different ways. I know what I believe, but I cannot know what is the truth. I don't know how much you can trust the words from someone working for SM, but when it's Yunho and Changmin, I don't want to believe they're lying. And JYJ are my fighters for freedom, I don't want to believe they're lying. Honestly, I've come to the point where I believe that maybe nobody is telling the truth, and maybe we'll just have to accept that. I still love them; Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin.

A story a lot of people seem to know little about is the breakup of H.O.T. In a lot of ways, it's similay to the story of TVXQ, but the differences are still many. But there's one thing I want to point out; the members of H.O.T are not fighting, or at least it seems that way. Hereunder you will see a picture of Kangta and Tony An, when they met in a variety-show, 6 years after the breakup. 6 years... Is that how long I will have to wait in order to see Yunho and Jaejoong standing beside eachother again? But anyway, H.O.T gives me hope, Kangta recently expressed a wish to reunite the group. If H.O.T can do it, why not TVXQ?

DBSK, The Rising Gods of the East

I like TVXQ, more than just a little bit. To me, TVXQ are real gods, and noone will ever be as great as them. To me, TVXQ is the ultimate boyband, with a dynamic feeling, that noone else can achieve. I love TVXQ, I love all five members.
Right now, liking TVXQ is tough. They are in the middle of a conflict, that according to me is just a conflict between JYJ and SM Entertainment. I don't believe any rumors that the members would be fighting. So in the conflict, I stand on JYJs side, because I truly want them to win against SM. But I have NOT chosen a side between HoMin and JYJ, because I don't think there is a real conflict between the members. I just want all five of them to be happy and healthy.
When fans pick sides, it hurts in my heart. Doesn't everyone dream about seeing TVXQ on stage again, all five members? At least, that's what I dream of, and I would never be able to turn my back any of the members. Because I love all of them. If I have to pick a favourite, I pick Jaejoong, but then I just can't go on. I can't rank them members. How could I, when I love all of them?

This is the TVXQ I love. Laughing, all five of them together. That's the way I wish to see them again. I want to believe all members of TVXQ wishes the exact same thing, so that we share the same dream; to have all members of TVXQ happy and singing, proving that they really are the best thing kpop has to offer. And most of all; to have the five of them be together again. I don't know if I'll even see a reunion of TVXQ, but I still hope. "Always Keep the Faith" is a nice phase the fans use.
I have a feeling that this blog will see quite a lot of posts about TVXQ, and for that reason I felt like this entry was needed, to share my feelings about the group. And also make it clear that I do not pick sides. I love all members just the same, without accusing anyone.

I'll end this with an amazing video of those five persons, who have touched my life so much.

Secret

It feels so hard to write a first real entry... Like I should introduce myself or something. But honestly, I'll just introduce myself along the way. I'll just jump right into it instead, right into my biggest interest: k-pop.
Lately, I've been listening a lot to a group called Secret. I've know this group exists for a very long time, but for some reason I've always dissed them. But now recently, I decided to give them a chance, and I think I really like them! They have some girl-power! And they're extremely talented live!
So I'm done with the first post, and it feels good!

A new start?

This is not the first post to my blog, but it's the first one I'm writing in about 3 years. I removed all posts from before, not because I'm ashamed of what I wrote, but it just didn't fit in. I'm very different now compared to then, and what I wrote three years ago doesn't necessarily represent the person I am today.
So I consider this a new start with my blog. I think I'll probably end up writing mainly about my huge obsession with k-pop. That's the great thing about a blog, you can write anything you want to. So that's what I'm going to do.
Please read if you want to. :)
